Plans Submission
Submission of Plans and Inspection Process Guidelines. Submission of Building construction and associated plans shall be submitted to the Fresno County Fire Protection District Fire Prevention Bureau located at 1700 Jensen Ave., Ste 103, Sanger, CA 93657.
A Fire Permit Application shall be submitted with 2 sets of plans for review (24X36). The Plan review will follow the California Fire Code (CFC) and California Building Code (CBC). Depending on construction requirements, individual plans will be submitted for the following and a permit / job card will be assigned;
1. Building Site Plan Review (Vehicle Access, Fire Water Supply, Site Plan, Elevations, Floor Plan).
2. Commercial Fire Sprinkler Systems
3. Fire Underground Systems
4. Fire Alarm Systems
5. Fire Pump Systems
6. Fire Water Storage Tank
7. Fuel Tanks
8. Solar Arrays
9. High Pile Storage
10.Residential Fire Sprinkler Systems
11.Personal Storage Buildings
12.Additions / Modifications
It is the responsibility of the Fire District Inspector to ensure the CFC and CBC is followed, the inspections are completed, and the permit / job card for each project is signed. On construction of a building requiring multiple inspections of fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems and underground systems, the permit / job card has multiple sign off signature blocks for the project. When all inspections are completed, the Building Final permit / job card will be signed by the Fire District Inspector. After the Building Final has been completed, the County or City Inspector can give occupancy to the building on site.
